Forward and reverse are by the original hydrostatic controll on the dash. He must have two drive motors and the control must be some sort of proportioning valve. Not sure what you would use it for. Actually some of the other tracked toys on the right side of that link look like they would be more fu...

The crawler 3 points are built heavier than the tractor 3 points due to the extra traction and therefore the added stress. Even on a tractor you put a hell of a lot of stress on the links if you turn and are slow on getting the impliment out of the ground. All damage that I have seen is due to opera...

Lavoy, I so severly edited my rant above that I may have left the wrong impression. When I said that the laws already on the books were not being followed, I originally was refering to the regulators not using the regulations effectively. If they were enforced the way that they could be, the truley ...

The point about a sandblasted ID plate means that whoever prepped and painted it would not have been a true "restorer". Someone who was not doing it the quick way to make it "look good" would have removed the plate and carefully cleaned it to preserve the plate and the information on it and then rea...

Iron, The initial idle needle setting for all TSX carbs is 2 turns off the seat. To adjust- warm the engine up and turn the throttle stop screw until the engine idles at the slow speed that you want and adjust the idle needle (small one on top of carb) until you get a smooth idle. Remember that this...

Also on the Marvel-Schebler TSX series there is a packing ring that helps seal the throttle shaft. In the kit I got from Lavoy it was a white loose fiber washer about 1/8th inch thick and a retainer. This is what seals up any clearance left between the new shaft and the old hole (at least for a whil...
