track throw

it is very hard to guess at what is causing your track problems from behind a computer screen, that being said it sounds like you have worn front idler bushings, the front idler kinda "wobbles" around and miss guides the track off the bottom rollers. you could also have worn bottom rollers, again causi...

2010 stuck

when crawlers get hung up,they drop to the belly pan and your done. they drop in fast, looks like you might have hit an underground spring. I had a silage truck going across a field, the driver ran over an underground spring or something and without warning the back dropped down to the body and the f...

I am with jdemaris,I have seen and opened up a ton of jd engines and the one seal sleeve motors are notorious for leaks,I had one so bad once that when I took the oil pan off and pressure tested the coolant a stream of coolant the size of a pencil shot out from one of the sleeves. the multi seal set...

mine is a diesel and it will spin before it bogs out,1st or 2nd...I also have triple grousers that are half worn or so.
if I am working around a stump,I just use one or two in the outmost postion,it will tear up roots in a hurry.

lindeman loader

ray, that is a feat of engineering to say the least, amazing work, you saved that machine from a scrap pile and turned it into a cool little unit, you should be proud. it is not a hack job either, looks like something a factory would put out,you are a skilled craftman to be able to pull that off and make...

I would like to see pics of that lindeman as well, the fact that you used it as a working machine is cool to me,better than it rusting away in some field somewhere.
I bet they would be great for harvesting maple sap for sugaring, they are so light and turn quick,go almost anywhere in the woods.

I would think new triple grousers would provide enough traction, besides i would rather slip and spin a little than have a tall dozer pad grab into a root or such and stop the track dead. I seem to remember when the 350 or 450 first came out and they had tall grousers on them and people were breaking...

unless you have hit the lottery the dealer route is way to costly, lavoy's got the parts you'll need to get going again. the biggest thing about working on heavy equipment is having the right tools,3/4 drive socket set,3/4 impact is better. these things were put together 40-50 years ago, they come apa...

350 working

to me 350's are a great machine, small enough to move around without too much trouble, they are easy on fuel and are able to do alot of work for their size. that ripper attachment is worth it's weight in gold, allows a smaller machine to rip up tough soil and roots it normally would fight with. you hav...
