Re: Back hoe attachment

many years ago my dad had a 350 loader with a hoe and he dug many a foundation with the machine, it was totally rear heavy and put a ton of pressure on the final drives of the machine. he would dig the hole, foundation would be poured and he would remove the hoe to backfill and grade. later on he go...

Re: 450b fan

I like all the stone walls on my dad's farm....the size of some of the rocks make me wonder how the heck they moved them to form the walls.

I remember being a young kid and asking who built the stone walls and all my dad said was some "very determined people"

Re: 450C dozer track group

should be able to get your tensioners out by releasing the grease check ball and collapsing the tensioner in as far as it will go, then use a come along or similar to pull the idler assembly forward as far as it will go, then remover the bolts on the front yoke of the tensioner and pull it out. shou...

Re: Track adjustment on 450D

yes as posted above hold idler forward somehow and cut old adjuster tube to remove, a fully compressed new adjuster should be able to be fitted in without splitting track

Re: Hyd track adjustment

you need a low pressure grease gun, I use corn head grease for both my bottom rollers and the track adjuster. you most likely still have the button head grease fittings for your adjuster and rollers, they look like little mushrooms....you can get the special fitting to screw onto a low pressure gun ...

Re: Adapting a 1010 with 810 loader to quik tach

you could get some material and weld up and mount a quick plate, I agree with Lavoy....something like a root rake would most likely get cranked out of shape pretty quick.
I see what your thinking though, there are tons of different attachments for those quick mount plates out there.

learn as much as you can about it's condition, then plan your attack from there.
if you do have low oil pressure, most likely the crank will be in need of turning to clean it up.....you may be able to find a used engine but you have no idea how much wear and what condition it is in

yeah check pressure with a known gauge, don't trust dash for accurate reading also do a compression test to see what you have as well. she might not be that bad, she might be ready for overhaul. if you find low pressure or low compression at that point I would pull the oil pan to see how the crank j...

are you jammed in both forward and reverse rotation? as already said sounds like when you shut it off and the engine slowed down the isolator came apart and jammed her up tight. sometimes they make a loud bang and come apart, I find most times as the engine comes to a stop after you shut it off it f...

I will suggest the regulator as well, I have had more than one do exactly what you are describing....one would only do it intermittently.

Lavoy beat me to it, they add needed strength to the frame.
take your time and rebuild as needed with new bolts etc.....no easy way to work on the track frames once they are back on the machine

I am not sure if you can install a coolant or block heater....we have them on 3 tractors and it makes getting them started so much easier.
