Re: Operate 350C without hardnose installed

Thanks again Jim B, Yes I definitely want to be careful. But it is important that I get it leveled and seeded before winter sets in.

Operate 350C without hardnose installed

I am thinking it is OK to run the 350C without the hardnose, as I have a task to do before it rains and is forecast to rain Friday ( could come earlier). I just need to grade out an area where I dumped dirt and clay with my wheel loader and I want a nicer job than just using my rear Box scraper. Als...

Foam cushion around radiator perimeter install or not

Radiator Cushion Foam on my 350C JD dozer was 40 years old and pretty much gone or dry and just rubbed off it you touched it. Is it necessary for me to replace it before using the dozer to level some soil on flat ground? As it is supposed to rain Friday. I am hoping to have my tractor back together ...

350C Dozer Transmission Capacity ?

I understand the transmission Capacity for my 350C is 10 gallons. I pulled the 5 drain plugs and allowed them to drain overnight, so it should be empty. When I got to pouring in gallon number 7 the hyd fluid started flowing out of the fill tube! I am assuming it's just a venting problem and if I wai...

Correct torque for crankcase oil drain plug

I would imagine there is a factory torque value or a recommended torque for the crankcase oil drain plug. I have searched and have not found it. Anyone know what the Torque for a 350C oil drain plug be ? Besides.....tight ? I already have it tight, I just don't want it to go from tight to stripped. ...

Re: Rubber hose from radiator to reverser

I think the parts manager assumed at the time all I needed was a 1/2 water hose. TI contacted Gates Corp, got this reply this morning from Gates RLB is and older cancelled hose series that has been replaced by the current “RLA” hose below suitable for an oil return line. Part 3284-4032, 8RLA x25 foo...

Re: Rubber hose from radiator to reverser

Sorry I forgot to state I am trying to beat the rain so need to get my 350C operating ASAP. I would hate to have to remover the Hardnose and radiator to replace the hoses again if the fail because they are the wrong ones for this application.

Rubber hose from radiator to reverser

I am looking for the correct replacement hose for my 1981 JD 350C Dozer, the original hose is a GATES 8 RLB ½ INCH 2 BRAID MADE IN USA. The JD dealer parts guy said the original hoses are no longer available and for me to use a straight hose to replace it. He gave me a GATES EB 4230T ½ INCH straight...
