Re: 450c steering clutches
Hello, Thank you Jim for the reply. I have not done anything with the crawler since the last post as I have been busy with other projects. I will make the clutch and brake adjustments per the manual. Hopefully in the next few days. I looked on lavoy's site for a possible oil pressure gauge, seen the...

Re: 450c steering clutches
Ok, I disconnected the brake linkage from the steering levers. With the crawler in gear forward or reverse, the crawler moves as it should. Pulling the levers back has no affect, both tracks continue to move. Question is are the steering clutches engaged with fluid pressure or the lack of pressure? ...

450c steering clutches
Good morning all, when you adjust the steering clutch levers for travel, where do you make the adjustment? the linkage between the lever and spool on the control valve are fixed. I removed the spools and they both look good, it would appear that the oil flow to the clutches is not being blocked to s...

Re: Gauge sending units locations
Thanks for the reply. The gauges I received have the pressure tubes, they're not electric. I purchased a kit on ebay that said they would fit a 450c. I might end up buying more gauges. I would rather have the electric gauges. I should have asked the seller what type they were. The manuals are not as...

Re: how to align the steering clutch before attaching the pressure plate.
Thanks for the reply. I have the technical manual, tm 1102 With the parts manual model # 450 C A ser# 201788T From the tag attached to the machine. That's good news that I will not need to align anything. I am hoping an adjustment will make it steer better. I watched a u tube video of a rebuild clai...

how to align the steering clutch before attaching the pressure plate.
Hi all,
I might be replacing the steering clutches in a 450c track loader. Where would one find a pilot shaft to align everything before attaching the pressure plate.
Charlie.
