didnt strike out. almost had a stroke though. JD dealer charged me $45 for the carrier sleeve. Hell of a price for a piece of exhaust pipe. Probably should have bought a bull nose tail stock center for the lathe and took a shot at turning down the OD of a piece of 1&1/2 id pipe. Thanks Anyway.

Lavoy, got the pressure plate and throwout bearing you sent. came on Tuesday. In my haste I overlooked the fact that the throwout bearing sleeve and the return spring are toast. Might you have these items in stock?

JD40c Clutch parts
Lavoy, need pressure plate and throw out bearing for 1955 40C crawler. Clutch plate is good. Throw out bearing seized and toasted fingers on pressure plate. Everything else seams to be good. Avaibility on these items ?

Did you change the cap? Do you have spark if you hold the coil wire 1/4" away from the block (ground)? You state that you lose spark if you put the cap on the distributor. need help-rough running and wont stay running
check for a vaccum leak. Leaking intake gasket etc, carb gasket, anywhere after the carb air intake. Maybe yes, maybe no but worth a try.

40c Oil Filter
Question, I have a 1954 40c serial #64072 and need an oil filter for it. Am unable to find a number in wix, purolator, fram, etc locally. Would anyone have such a number they would be willing to devulge so I can change the oil in the old girl ? Thanks in advance
