I saw that auction and was going to have my wife bid since it ended while I was at work. Unfortunately she got distracted by her boss at the last minute and forgot. I hardley ever win an auction where I bid early so I always bid one time at the end. I either get it then or else someone else va...

Wanted: R.H. foot rest 440 crawler

I'm in need of the right hand foot rest for a 440 crawler. The diesel and gas versions are the same. Not sure if any other models will fit, maybe Lavoy can answer that one. The part number is T10453T.

Thanks,

Brad

Front engine support 440ICD

As I was pulling the engine today I found lots of minor issues that will have to be corrected when I get ready to reinstall it. Probably the one that surprised me the most was the front enigne support. There are supposed to be two bolts holding round spacers on each frame rail, this one only had one...

Finally, got something done on my crawler!

Had the day off today and the temperature was in the high 50s, perfect for getting started on pulling the engine out of the crawler. My plan for the day was to get most of the prep work done so I could yank the engine saturday or sunday. One thing led to another and I ended up accomplishing th...

Skidder, my 440 crawler had saw for several years outside before I bought it. I might be wrong but I think if you get get it out of gear there is a good chance it can be pulled up onto a trailer. Not sure if winch would do the job or not. Mine was loaded onto a trailer by the seller using a tractor ...

Tig Welder

Lavoy, I was reading through the ytmag.com tools forum looking for information on Tig welders. I ran across some posts where you were looking for one. Did you ever get a Tig welder? If so what kind? Are you happy with it? Any comments as to what you might do different if any? Lots of questions! Than...

Re: 440 Final Drive

JAC,

I've been following your posts with interest and I'm really happy you got the last final drive off. I'd have hated the thought of you turning the crawler into a parts machine.

Hope the manuals are helping.

2010 diesel crawler for sale on ebay

Saw this on ebay, looks like it could be a great project for a very reasonable price. No reserve.

I have no financial interest in this, just seems like a good deal!

Lavoy: Found the gentlemen with the CD manuals on your site. Thanks. Opened the clutch covers and the left steering mechanism is moving freely, but rusted. Right side linkage is pretty rusted and seized. Gaskets were gone on covers so everything appears to have gotten wet over time and rusted. Care...

440 Diesel gas cap

Is the gas cap on a 440 diesel a sealed or vented type of cap? Anyone out there have a part number from a automotive parts house that might work?

My crawler came with a cut down beer can in place of the gas cap!

Thanks,

Brad
