Three things to test , 1. test for voltage at the coil , coming from the ballast resistor should be 6 volt or there abouts . If you have voltage there than the switch is working correctly . 2. Test or voltage at the distributor with the wire coming from the coil disconnected from the terminal on the...

Crossing asphalt or concrete can be done with old tires , line up the tires with where you want to cross the surface (drive over them) . I have done this with excavators up to a Cat 320 and not left marks on the road . As for tearing up the grass just use one path and then fix it when you are done w...

My parts manual list the jam nut for the bottom rollers as a 3/4 and the bolts that bolt the roller to the track frame as 1/2 " . If you are talking about the Idler wheel it lists them as same . TIP ALERT : If you are having trouble determining a shaft size use open end wrenches to measure the diame...

If the blade control handle is cast steel I will tig build up the worn parts of the holes with ER70 filler wire , is it is cast iron I am going to braze them up , then drill them out to the same pin diameter . I thought of cleaning up the holes with a 1/2" end mill then pressing in a bushing made fr...

I will have to get the idler wheel off and the blade off of it before making a decision on how to rebuild it but from what it looks like , the flanges thickness is too thin to take a build up . I have to repair the pin holes in the blade control handle as the pins have egg shaped the holes . I am he...
