Re: 440IC for sale

How about $4000 or obo.
If that doesn't work its going for scrap.
I'm moving so one way or the other it has to go!

That's a safety feature.
If its vibrating, you know its running.
They used this feature before they invented warning lights.

Try wengers.com. The "s" makes a difference. If you don't see what you need on the web site call them. They are very helpful but don't always keep their site up to date. Their prices are usually on the fair to high side but they stand behind what they sell. A friend bought a seat for his tractor fro...

Back when I was a much younger lad the company I worked for bought a used Mack R700. The air horns didn't work at all. One of the old timers climbed up and starter working the trumpets back and forth while I held open the air. A lot of debris blew out and they started working. Worked fine for the ne...

I have a 3pt on my 440IC.
The story I was told when I bought it was that it was part of "fleet" purchase by the stat forestry dept. in PA.
They all came with a 3pt and some type of a V plow to open fire breaks for fighting brush fires.

Terry,

I like it!
It is well laid out, good description of what you offer & how you accomplish the end results.

The only improvement would be if you could move about 300 miles east so I could watch you work.
I could learn a lot to manage my wood lot.

Love the photos!

That's possible. It dose do it while sitting still but vibration from the engine could move things around. The tank was recently replaced. Replaced with a used one that had been professionally cleaned & pressure tested. I have it off now to replace the tank valve again so it will be easy to check. T...

Not a JD Crawler Problem but, it Could Be

I have a Ford model 850 tractor with a 172 CI gas engine. The fuel shutoff valve was leaking around the stem so I replaced it. Up to now the tractor was running fine. Now it starves for fuel at high RPM's and under load. If you are quick enough you can throttle back and catch it with the choke and k...

I was thinking of mounting a swing out bracket on the back of my 440 and hang one of these from it.
Then if I break down I would have a spare
