at least this hobby is some what use full. there is a very small chance you can make some cash at least to buy fuel. most hobbys I know of there is little or no chance of making any thing.

does some one know about the serial numbers on a hein werner c12hd track hoe. I am trying to put a age on my machine. I think its late 60s early 70s, if more information is required let me know. Brooks

hi, I have a early model 420c with a 40 engine the hydraulic pump I think is the same or close between the 40 and 420 hope this will help. you could also mount a pump off the crank, as for blade mine looks like a snow plow welded on the front.

would that solution work on a 420 five roll?

I like kroil to, spray it on a bolt in question for a week or at least a few days and chances are good it will come out pb blaster also work good but kroil is better at least thats my thought.

are you talking about the nuts that hold the axle for the front idler. I dont think they have a set screw in the nut however there is one listed a 22h-712 but I will check my machine that is 420c five roll. and advise accordingly. hope this helps. bkrr

I looking for at least 2 bottom rolls(when snow melts I will have better idea) for my jd420c five roll and at least one track chain. I am located in upstate ny, north of albany

hows the rolls and chain?

there should be a drain plug at the bottom on the inside of the finals and a check plug a few inches up from the drain hole. When I drained mine I replaced it with 80 weight gear oil, also check the bearings on the finals, that cost me a lot the money and time by not caching a bad bearing in time.
