Re: gooseneck hitch/install
I’ve installed 2 B&W gooseneck hitches in Ford trucks. Neither were that bad to install. Hardest part was triple checking before using the 4 inch hole saw on a perfectly good bed!

Wow I started this post 5 years ago! I also came across that web-site and emailed them, Mr Leonard was very kind and informative on the Holt blade. He had met Francis Holt many years back and he shared some original literature and drawings with me. I haven't found any more literature but what he sen...

Thanks for the ideas. The hose that was replaced was bled out multiple times and only had very little air come out the first time it was bled. I sent digitup2 a message the same day I posted here, but he has not responded yet. I was hoping he would have some insight of what needs to be done. Thanks ...

550H Won't Move!
My brother has a 550H LGP on a job site out of town. He had a hydraulic hose blow that he told me it goes from the left final to the right side. He was pushing when it blew out, lost fluid and stopped in its tracks. After removing the winch he found that it rubbed through on the winch pto. Now with ...

He has also advertised them here on JD Crawlers. I have bought parts from him before, very knowledgable and straight forward guy.

If your blade is like this one on ebay then I may have some information. I have the same blade on my 430c. Like Lavoy said information for Holt blades is very hard to find. http://www.ebay.com/itm/JOHN-DEERE-420-430-440-CRAWLER-DOZER-HOLT-BLADE-ASSEMBLY-JOHN-404-569-3093-/121048600863?_trksid=p5197....

I went to a second bearing company with the old bearings and dims. from jdparts.com. With a bit of searching they were able to find the 3 bearings I needed (cheaper than Deere). Lavoy, when they come in I'll get you the aftermarket brand and numbers if you want. I'm keeping a list of the brands and ...

430c Transmission Bearings
I've got my 1960 430c 4 speed out and completely apart. I have had pretty good luck rounding up most of the bearings, but I can't cross reference 3 of the bearing numbers: JD7938T, JD7939T, and JD8124T. I've been told that these are "captured" numbers. Does anyone know a replacement for these or are...
