Looking for a Mechanic in new england

I have a 550 that needs transmission work I am looking for a mechanic looking for side work to help. I wanna try to fix this through the top and Im hoping to find someone who has done this before The dozer is in a garage a nice place to work on the MA NH Border.

well I'm giving up on this, I'm gonna just try with 5 seconds on the plugs before I start. had the plugs out and hooked them up so I could watch and they get red at 5 seconds and very red at 10 seconds. I think there should be less than 12 volts going to them but cannot figure out what in the old ha...

thanks for your reply, it must be the way i wired the glow plug harness. its all i did to start the problem. the wiring diagram just shows a single wire to feed all 4 plugs. i'm at a loss and just plan on heating the plugs for maybe 10-15 seconds and hoping for the best

seems like a problem that I have and still have, i posted last year and have not been able to find a solution. My 4th set of glow plugs came in today. I only have one battery in my machine my glow plugs worked fine for a number of years, I put a new harness on the glow plugs and they burn out after ...

Just one battery, just 12 volts, 10 glow plugs so far, all cylinders. All I did was cut off the wiring harness and make a new one. The plugs look like the end has blown up, its bulged out. I checked with a meter only 12 Volts, and power goes on and off with the switch properly

well i took dukes advice and used more starting fluid, it chugged a couple times blew out alot of black smoke and then started. let it run a little shut it off and it started right up again. we'll see what happens today from a cold start

well i took dukes advice avice used a little. more starting flluid it chuged a couple times and spit out a lot of thick smoke then started riht up let it run a bit shut it off and it started fine. we'll see what happen tomorrow

i have fuel to the pump and at the injectors i think maybe just not enough pressure . sould there be a flow back to the tank ?
