Thanks for the replies, The extensive rain yesterday didn't inspire me to go pull the track back off. Time to pay the piper, cleaned the shop instead. Lavoy, I thought the sprockets might be the problem but the links nest 100%, they may already have been 350ified. A 350 track already came off that s...

I guess I'll have to put a worn pin and bush link in to add some slack. Regarding the press, I will post a pic when I have time in the near future. It is basically a 5 x 7 x 3/8 wall tube with heavy gussets welded on top for the track and cylinder. I basically copied the press out of the service man...

1010/350 tracks, something doesn't add up

Hopefully someone can shed some light on my problem... I locally bought a pin and bushing group for my tracks. Between the tracks on the machine and a spare set I have 3 350 tracks and 1 1010. So anyways, I built a press and overhauled 1 350 track for now. I tried to put it on the machine and it's t...

I, as well, bought a 1964 1010 for the same reason, I've run machinery, but never a crawler. I wish I knew more of what to look at when I bought it. It looked good and worked well when I tried out on flat ground, it's history sounded good. The guy I bought it off had it for 5 yrs with no problems, h...

I basically bought my crawler for similar reasons. I use my 1010c to level a pathway in for my 410 backhoe. Your hoe should dispense of those stumps quite easily, then regrade with the crawler.

1010 tracks?

Hey Lavoy, couple quick questions about rebushing and pinning my tracks. I was looking at them yesterday, when resetting a lost track and noticed slop between the bushing and chain link. I've talked to local companies, as in, 1 1/2 hrs one way and 3 1/2hrs the other about bushing and pinning my trac...

cleaning steering clutch disks

I cleaned my metal and fiber disks both with an orbital sander, using 80 grit paper and a light touch. They cleaned up nice, well, alot better than they were. 20 hrs on them so far, since clean up with no noticeable problems.

1010 track and roller q's

Two questions, if I may: 1: I went to grease my new crawler for the first time the other day and found that (2) rollers on the l/h side were different than the (8) others (l/h & r/h). They looked like pillow block bearings on the inside and outside of the track frame and roller, with nowhere to grea...
