I was wondering if it might be a swivel seat for a backhoe... but I went ahead and opened my big mouth anyway. Now it looks to me like my mentor Professor Lavoy is implying that only 1010's suffering in the care of lousy mechanics still have a dual battery system. I have no shame. I continue to lear...

So 1010's with the backhoe option don't have a second battery?

I've never seen anything like it. Seems crazy to me but I'm no expert. Both my 1010's have angle iron seat frame assemblies, The seat frame holds the bottom cushion. The seat back hangs on the curved metal back support. The assembly is bolted to the chassis somehow. I'll check in the morning. The an...

I wrote yesterday morning, the minute I saw Tigerhaze' post. I returned one of your admin@jdcrawlers.com emails that you sent me a while ago.

I have two 1010's. I'd probably want two sets. I don't want to clutter the postings with this if you want to email me robkinnaird@sbcglobal.net.

I've been studying this again. If you do a search of this site by entering "glow" in the search window, you'll find an excellent discussion by some of our "stars" (in my opinion) from May of this year. http://www.jdcrawlers.com/messageboard/viewtopic.php?t=2786&highlight=glow Mr. Demaris does not kn...

I'm not sure but I think Mister Lavoy has made an off-color comment about the mating habits of crawlers. I'm glad I'm not the only one going out on a limb with postings.

I love how it gets darker and darker and finally there is a late night shot with a flash of the darn final drive hanging free on a hook. Thanks for your trouble in posting a series of interesting pictures. Much appreciated.

Hey Laverne, you weren't kidding! I think you went seventy-five cents too high with your last bid there. Seriously, this site has been invaluable to me. Your first assignment is to read all the stuff that's already been posted. It's a lot and will probably answer most of your questions. I'm just bei...

Of course you're right about the motor. I thought the pix of the machine were prize winning. Even though it's there for "display" purposes, I would have taken the junk out of the bucket. The setting tells such a story. I've seen some miserable looking machinery but those pictures made me think of an...

440 on eBay

I loved the description: John Deere JD440 Loader with 6-Way Dozer Blade Loader & Dozer Combination Enjoy the Best of Both Worlds with ONE Machine. This JD440 Loader has been retrofitted with a removable 6-Way Dozer Blade. Easily converts in less than a day. There's something contradictory about "eas...

Anytime you get a WOW followed by fourteen exclamation marks from Our Leader Lavoy, you know you've done something great. Geeeeeeeeeez what a series of pictures. I thought my little dump truck fandango last summer was impressive. Now I feel like a piker. =Rob
