That is correct no washers used. I used lock tite on bolts. Can't remember the torque specs, cause my manual is at the shop. I do remember that since the machine I have had that old cheezy isolator setup my manual didn't show that spec for the new style, so I called the Deere dealer and they told me...

When I've done it, I did one side at a time, and not even in the same season. Your service manual will walk you through it if you've never done it before. I found removing the finals not that difficult. The hardest part for me was track removal because of a stubborn pin. I always inspect all parts f...

KenP is absolutly rite about the steering clutch/brake adjustment. Take your time to adjust properly. There is very little room for error on the adjustment. If it's your 1st time at trying to adjust chances are it will take a few times to get it rite. I've done it so many times & I still find myself...

the new isolater mounts to the flywheel lets say the same way a pressure plate from a clutch mounts to a flywheel. The upgrade does require a new flywheel, ther is no way around it. The new isolater sets into the flywheel, then bolted down with I beleive it was 8 bolts, unlike that old setup with sp...

The front cowl looks heavier than it really is. No you can't lift it without a hoist or engine lift, but it's real easy to remove. I used a engine puller by myself to remove and reinstall, no problem. I personally would take the radiator to a repair shop and see what goes. Hopefully the tanks are st...

Persdorff posted a good picture of his input shaft titled "350B reverser input spline". I just got done with my 350B a few weeks ago and I went and installed a new shaft when I upgraded to the new isolater design. My shaft was in worse shape than the picture but not almost completely gone like yours...

Just an update on my isolater problem. First off, I finally got my computer back. My 350B is all done now :D and the machine acts almost like new. Found out that the problem with my first try at putting the engine to the reverser, which was very hard to pull together, was caused by one spline on my ...

i've never put too much confidence into these "magic cures", like magic , I always see them as a short term ilusion. But just like those funky little spare tires you get in new cars, it will get you by for a short time. I agree that the best fix is to have it recored, but only if the tanks are in go...

I'm not insulted one little bit jdemaris, The more one can learn the better and its always apprieciateed, in fact to be honest with you I didn't check the end play of the new reverser shaft because I didn't get into the guts of the reverser, or the diameter of the pilot bearing, probably a big mista...

Well, finally got done with daughters wedding and my house guests finally went home. So I got back on my project. Installed new isolater, updated style and new input shaft on the reverser. Put engine back into unit, but was amazed at how hard it was to pull the engine together to the reverser case. ...
