Broke Free

It broke free last night. I did attempt to adjust steering on that side, but that wasn't the issue. Steering is not as good as what it was on that side but is much much better on the opposite side. But both sides work well now and both tracks move freely.

Thanks,

J.

350 B track stuck

My 350 B has a stuck right track. Went to adjust the steering yesterday then started it up and the right track won't budge. Last time I moved the machine was probably late Feb. Been started a lot since then, but not moved much. Been sitting on pavement since then. Any thoughts?

Tachometer & Speed Control Adjustment 350B loader

Tachometer is toast and not even hooked up. Nothing in technical manual about mechanical gauges. I have a new Tach, but where does the cable go? I have no clue where it would go and how to hook it up. Also, my speed control lever is a real bear to move. I've lubed everything that I can reach, but it...

Steam Cleaning

My 350B has been sitting a long time uncovered in a barn. It runs pretty good, but I'm just now starting to bring it back to life. The cover plates over the steering adjustments (under the seat) are missing, or haven't been installed in years. The adjustments are all gummed up and dirty. I was plann...

Thanks Ken P. I really appreciate the help. That's why I was thinking of a lower pressure steam/hot water unit. I'm thinking about known parts I need at this point. I have no idea where to look. But, here is what I need, want: Throttle knob Reverser knob Tachometer Starter Button Air Filter element/...

Ok, so now what

I checked with my local JD construction equipment dealer (Plasterer in Etters/Lewisberry, PA. Asked about corn head grease and the low pressure grease gun. Several people said that the track tensioner never had oil in them on the 350B and that they use regular JD lithium grease. And they also don't ...

Pics of Difference

Anybody have any pics showing the difference between the loaders and the dozers? As far as pads are concerned. Also, sorry different subject sort of, but when I bought my 350B loader the guy gave me an old grease gun with a special fitting for the track tensioner. Can I remove the special fitting an...

This thing is awsome!

I haven't really put much time on it yet, but already I know I got a good deal. It's going to be so hand with those forks and all. Only issue I have at this point that I'm hoping you guys can help, is the left side steering and track adjuster. Steering is not great. Seems like it needs adjusted (lik...

I figured as much. Where is a good place to get manuals? I've been searching some, haven't found any yet.

Resurecting the dead.

So I get a call from the owner and the abondoned 350B has come back to life. Not missing a beat. Just took some new juice from a fresh battery. So, I hopped in my car and drove to check it out. Sure enough, it runs and fires off right away. I was amazed actually. The frozen clutch broke loose and no...

Thanks, that helps. I've attached a photo of the IP for the 350 loader I referenced in another post. Looks to me like it's the changover IP even though you can't see the clamps. Very dirty obviously, but this thing runs pretty good. I'll post more info and pictures back in the other thread. Hmm, how...

Ok, so if you find a 350 without these problems, then what to do to prevent these from occuring? Is it pointless to go down the road of a 350? Why can't the studs between the reverser and the transmission be replaced and correct washers fitted and everything re-torqued to the appropriate specs? What...

Thanks guys.

I guess the 350 appealed to me because of the weight and size. It's not big and I could haul it with what I got. Other suggestions for a loader similar to the 350? Are all 350s bad? I do want something to use for work. Not 8 hours a day, but maybe 100 hrs/year of actual job-site work. Maybe more. I ...

NTM JD 350B

I'm in the process of acquiring a 350B. I know nothing about these machines. I'm acquiring for my business that I just started. The particular machine in question is of unknown year (how do I check) and has been sitting for almost 4 years. It was used on a farm. I noticed it a year or so ago as a "b...
