Did you try Wengers in PA or Tractor Ser & Sup in OH? I looked at adding a 2nd remote and they had all the parts, they are the same as the 1010 wheeled tractors. If you are talking about the side levers, I also know of a place in Pavo, Ga, I think called T&H tractor supply, guys name in Johnothan. T...

Dynometer Question
I have a diesel motor, Perkins 1006 to be exact on a pump unit. It is in need of rebuild I'm sure, but was wondering if anyone has ever hooked up a motor in need of rebuild to a dyno to see just how much less the hp output is? just currious cause I don't have a dyno. Output new is 104hp at 1800 rpm,...

Mine also is a 69. That one was my first real restoration. I grew up on a 500 acre fresh green bean farm in North Florida with 4 pivots and we used a 65 4020 to pull a 8 row planter. I always remembered that as being my favorate tractor, even behind the much bigger cab 145 Versatile. I was just born...

My Birthday Present
My birthday isn't until March, but my wife just couldn't wait to tell me so here it is. A trip by myself to Moline (JD heaven). I am blessed to have such a great wife who lets me build massive barns and fill them with New Generation JD's. On a side note, one of my daughters was looking at new parts ...

Unfortunately, I have lots of experience in your problem as I have an early model 1010 with the shifter on the dash. Here is what I used to narrow down mine to serial# 12,801-15,257 serial numbers 1960 10,001 1961 13,692 1962 23,630 <21,900 steering brake handle, shifter, hydraulic pump shifter, oil...

1010 restoration steering clutch Question?
I have started tearing my 1010 apart for restoration, working on pulling the motor now, which needs a full rebuild. My question is, after hearing so many problems about steering clutches, of which both of mine seem to work fine, should I tear into them for any reason other than to adjust them from t...

1010 Reverser Problem
I had my 1010 resting in the shop about to start a complete rebuild this winter when my 544 loader broke a hose today and had to use the dozer to tend burn piles in the grove. All went well until on the way back in, all forward gears except 1st seemed to lack power. Then even 1st lacked power and wo...

You can always take some of the bend out of the cheaper part. When ever I re-plumb a sprayer, I have a crock pot I plug in with a 66/34 antifreeze/water mix and heat up to 200 or more. Just dip the hose end in and it is lubricated and soft and makes the stiffest hose go on the barb easy. Works reall...
