Ken P, please help me out on the 303 oil? I thought it was gear oil similar to 90 weight?

450g left track not pulling

My 450 g started to lose power in the left track while in reverse. It got to the point where it would not pull at all in reverse. It ran fine forward, it would even spin the tracks forward. Now it is losing it forward. Could this mean I need to replace the left steering clutch or is their an adjustm...

tranny problems

I having sort of the same issue. My 450 just stopped pulling and the oil level was low. I filled it up and nothing, I thought at first it was the clutch because their is no free travel but, I am beginning to think it is the transmission pump? Any ideas?

450 reverse

I would start by checking the oil level in the transmission. Your machine uses JD 303 oil (85-90 gear oil) in the tranny. If you still dont get results you may have steering clutches that are slipping? Does the machine move any?

Just changed 10 on my 450G, they dont come with grease fittings anymore. They are all sealed that I know of.

If all the linkages are in place, what should I look to check next? The oil level is good. I can shift the tranny gears and they grind slowly from 1234.

JD 450 HLR Transmission problem. tractor wont move.

I was pushing with my loader and the tranny got weak and moved slow. I checked the tranny oil and it was low. The next day (cold weather) I filled up the tranny and tested the tranny. The tractor would not move at all. I tried every gear and HLR and nothing. I let the machine run for several minutes...
