I'm trying to replace a few extras (a little at a time ) on my 450C. I have both the tech manual and the parts catalog /manual...but neither has any info on this. If I have missed the page(s)...Please let me know where they are. If I am right, and there is no explaination...Please give me some insig...

Thanks for the replies my friends. The pyrometer I'm trying to install is for the transmission fluid. Apparently from the local JD dealership...it's supposed to screw into a threaded "plug" on the side of the transmission box (where ever that is..) he really couldn't help me more than that over the ...

DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE THE PYROMETER PLACEMENT GOES ON THIS MODEL. I'M REPLACING THE GAUGES ON MY CRAWLER, AND THE NEW GAUGE ATTACHES TO A FITTING THAT APPARENTLY SCREWS INTO THE TRANSMISSION CASING SOMEWHERE. CAN ANYONE HELP ME??? THANKS IN ADVANCE.... PETE

Hello Lavoy, I was wondering if you could help. I have my 9550 backhoe attachment that just got delivered down the lot. My 1983 450C crawler/loader is equiped with the 28 GPM pump , so I should be in good shape. I've been able to locate alot of the plumbing parts for minimal dollars at salvage yards...
