JD 350 track adjuster

The cylinder on the track adjuster for my 350 has a crack in it - see below. http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd48/larry_8n75381/John%20Deere%20350%20loader/th_JD350crackedadjustercylinder.jpg A search of the web finds an after market replacement that looks like this; http://i224.photobucket.com/a...

This should answer your question - you might want to read the rest of my reply so you can get some (I hope) helpful hints. I got the solid steel “governor weight retainer assembly” (part # 29111) and the “gasket kit (DB)” (part # 24371 from Thompson Diesel Inc. Call outside sales. URL didn't survive...

I had to "rebuild" my injector pump on my JD350 in 2009. You should read these posts; http://www.jdcrawlers.com/messageboard/viewtopic.php?p=15745&highlight=#15745 http://www.jdcrawlers.com/messageboard/viewtopic.php?p=18193&highlight=#18193 http://www.jdcrawlers.com/messageboard/viewtopic.php?p=208...

BVD, I just posted a bunch of pictures of when I replaced the governor weight retainer in my JDB (much like the DB) pump. There is a picture of how I got the pump back on WITHOUT the tool. I cut a piece of clear plastic that was thick enough to be stiff but thin enough to easily wrap around the seal...

Repair of JDB injector pump.

I have put up a series of photos that I took when I repaired (NOT rebuilt) the pump for my JD350. They are located at http://outdoors.webshots.com/album/576729345vRADHT?vhost=outdoors I plan on commenting each image but wanted to post the URL now so it could be viewed by anyone contemplating repairi...

Thanks, Mike. My 350 seems to be a very easy starter.

Lavoy, I will put a set of pictures in the Show and Tell section as I get them posted to a image hosting site. I will use a similar "subject" line so it will be easy to follow from one to the next.

I had the same problem with my JD 350 loader. You do not need to "rebuild" your pump but just replace the governor weight retainer and it's drive plate. It is not unlike having a tractor that won't pull because the clutch is bad. You would not rebuild the engine when all that needs rebuild/replaced ...

It RUNS!!! - My JD350 loader

First I must thank John de Marrais for all his help in this endeavor by reassuring me when I was worried that something was not right. My loader was suffering from the dreaded "Disintegration of the fiber vibration damper disk" which plugs up the check valve on the pump that returns excess fuel to t...

Thanks jdemaris, I have been studying the manual off and on. Each time I think I gain a better understanding. But I wish that some of the pictures were better and that there were more. One problem is that there are several variations of things, yet no picture or only one. But that is not to uncommon...

Ready to "open up" my 350 injector pump.

Anyone have any "DOs/DON'Ts or suggestions to offer before I start. Besides 'Don't do it!!" with the same emphasis as the "husband" in Ray Stevens song "The Streak". For anyone not that does not know of the song, here is the YouTube version of it, enjoy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=85krLPrWWTY I ...

DARN! You make me wish I would not have let my mother talk me out of buying the family farm in the mid 80's when land was so low in Iowa. Her folks had 250 acres a mile SE of Numa, so that was not that far from you. Think my Uncle Bert used to go to Mystic to play piano in a band Saturday night ever...

Lavoy,

I need a service manual for the Stansdyne JDB331 injector pump.
Are they some thing that you can get?

Thanks,
Larry

The number you gave for the pump on your 350 is original equipment, not an upgrade. The replacement pump is a different # - i.e. JDB331AL2732. They are all pretty much the same, anyway, but it sounds like your 350 came new with a DB or JDB pump, and the guy just swapped another similar pump onto it...
