I had a roosa master pump on a Case 480 of similar vintage do this. Found loose broken plastic parts in the pump that were messing up the whole operation of the pump. There are some inspections you can do for this via some of the removable ports on the pump. You really need a manual, a clean pump an...

1. Sounds like a HLR to me. There is not that much difference in H and L on mine either. the shifter on the dash changes gears 1 through 4, or with the H and L you get 8 gear combinations. I did change my trans filter without changing the fluid and it will leak a fair amount of fluid before you can ...

On the how hard is the steering clutch job question. Both Pammark and I are in the rebuild stages of two different 2010 steering clutches and are documenting our work on this forum with pictures. We don't work together but I learn lots from his pictures and discussion. I would say it is a fair amoun...

JD has an excellent manual on the Roosa Master pump SM2045. The manual has a trouble shooting section. You might find one around or you can get it from the JD site: http://www.johndeeretechinfo.com/index.cfm?event=productDetails&product_id=69722& Was this working fine recently and suddenly lost powe...

I would go with Lavoy if he has it. If not this guy had a 2010 belly pan and rock guards. He was very fair to deal with. Maybe he has a 1010 he could rob an old injector off of. http://www.peilatractorrepair-parts.com Find a way to make it work. These old machines are worth keeping around and passin...

If you search in here you will find this is a fairly common ailment that hasa been discussed lots. Most of the experts seem to say to put it in soft dirt up against something that will safely prevent forward movement. Like a huge rock or a stump or something, let the clutch out and observe the track...

I used school bus yellow from kirker with 10 drops of red and 10 drops of black per sprayable gallon in the ultra glo urethane. Been holding up good for a year now . Got it from smartshoppersinc.com On the tracks I sprayed the inside but just put rust converter on the outside figuring that they woul...

Is it under your left foot? If so this is a clutch to disengage everything behind the engine so you can start the engine without cranking the transmission and pump. On mine this rod pulls straight up and has a cross bar that you can engage on the floorboard to hold the clutch in released position. A...

Check the gas tank cap to make sure there is not a vacuum developing in the tank due to a plugged vent. 30 minutes might just pull enough vacuum to stop the gas flow. Check for gas getting to the carb. Check spark by pulling a plug, put the wire back on and ground the plug threads, then cranking. Fi...
