Friend got 2.5 gph. He built the track for his brother (and himself) on their dad's place. He really appreciated the info so he had an idea how much fuel to take as he didn't have a tank in his pickup and didn't want to buy fuel up there. Bought off road from the company he works for, so he figures ...

450 fuel burn rate

I'd go with what Lavoy said. Try to limit your hard shoving to the middle of the blade. You want to push as evenly with each track as you can anyway no matter how stout the blade is. Easier on the drive train. At least get the operators manual. Looking at the steering levers, I think you may need to...

lifetime member?
I think I read in the forum rules that if you reach 356 posts before you sell your crawler, and are in good standing, you are considered a lifetime member.
Seriously, not seeing your username on here would seem strange. Good luck with your new Deere.

rock guards.
Hi Al, If you already have full rock guards, relief holes would help as the others have said. They work well on excavators and fellerbuchers. If your homeade skirts are heavy duty enough they might work. I think they should be added to both sides of the track frame as rock guards are. I wonder thoug...
