I'm sure someone will chime in soon on the machine, but if it has a 3 cyl engine it's a 350. If it's a 4 cyl it's a 450.
What is the major problem with the machine?
There's alot of help and wisdom here.

From all I have seen, wet clutches started on the 450C and not on any B's.

Do you have a repair manual?
When I do the adjustment on a machine that is new to me, I disconnect everything and start from scratch.
It's alot easier to do this than to try to figure out what some one else has done.

Lavoy is right. The way I check is to lift off the seat, straight down is a plate w/4 bolts. remove the plate and very carefully operate the dozer. I use Universal 303 in everything, Rotella for the engine.

I have been able to break some loose by doing the following, but not if they are fused solid.
You can pull the steering lever back to just before the brake kicks in, and push against a solid mass. go forward and reverse against the mass and the clutch will brake loose.

I am in need of an engine and turbo for a JD450B dozer, mine has threw a rod out the side, and the turbo is junk.
Data tag says 4-219.
Any help for a guy in central Arkansas?

I foung HeavyEquip to be about 1/2 the price that the dealer wants for track parts. HeavyEquip has been good to me.

Sounds like a bad seal in the forward clutch pack. Sorry but you have to tear down.

Pull the seat and the cover plate for the pinion. Start the dozer and very carefully put in gear.
If the pinion turns, the problem is in the steering clutches/finals.
If the pinion does not turn, problem is main clutch/reverser/trans.
I hope this helps narrow it down.

I looked ay a set of tracks that were stated to fit a 350. These traske had 39 pads not 36. I measured the track and the link height is 3.19 and the pins are 23.55.
What do they fit and are they any good.

I got the steering clutches to release but the machine still does not pull. It moves forward some but not at all in reverse. There is a loud squeeling racket when you try to go backwards. It does have the reverser so my question is; Do I need a new clutch and if so, what do I need to watch for when ...
