Deere 9550 Backhoe Attachment for Sale

Hi all, It's been a while I have a Deere Backhoe Attachment for sale. This is a model 9550 which Deere made to replace the earlier 9300 series “Drum type” or “Rotary Vane Swing Cylinder’’. These upgraded 9550 versions are hard to find. It fits on Deere 350, 450 or 550 dozer or loader. The 9550 is a ...

Track Installation Trick

Gentlemen, I discovered a great way to install tracks and I thought I’d share it with you all. I’m sure many of you old pros know this trick but if not here it is. I used a trucker’s ratcheting binder to install tracks instead of come-alongs. See the attached picture. For me it worked much better th...

Trans Temp Guage

Gentlemen, I need your sage advice again. I have a 450C loader. All of the gauges work except the trans temp gauge. I've replaced the sending unit in the trans case and the gauge with no luck. The wiring seems simple--there's a hot, ground and sensor terminal on the back of the gauge. When the tract...

450c Loader Rollover

Thanks again guys, Your collective wisdom is awesome and so helpful and I so appreciate your replies. Yes, on hillsides I always keep the bucket as low to the ground as possible thereby lowering the center of gravity, I work slowly and I can't imagine running it without a seatbelt since we have a RO...

450c Rollover Slope

Thanks Tigerhaze, It's a 450c Loader and yes we usually only travel up and down the slope with the loader bucket leading the way and rarely across the grain but sometimes we can't help it and that's when I really get uneasy. Plus the low reverse gear is higher geared than the forward low gear and so...

450c Rollover Slope

Guys, I have a 450C that is used mostly on steep hillside terrains. Does anyone know the maximum slope that it can operate before it rolls over? (That is a 0 slope being level and a vertical slope being 100%). It feels fine at about a 40% slope but at 50% I get nervous as all get out going very slow...

Jacobs, Is the backhoe the cylinder type? Do you know the model number of the backhoe attachment? I'm looking for an attachment for a 450C but the non cylinder type. I believe the model number 9500 or higher but there are sure more knowledgeable guys about the subject on the blog than me.

Thanks Guys, once again your collective knowledge is so helpful and I so appreciate it. I'll be removing the floorboard this weekend. Btw, my rig is one of those rigs made in Europe (gray market) so the serial numbers are different than those for U.S. rigs which has made getting parts somewhat chall...

450 b/c

Gentlemen, your combined wisdom about Deere crawlers is truely amazing and humbling. I so thank you for your never ending advice and assistance. I have a JD Track Loader that was manufactured during the transition years between the "B" and "C" models. I was told that it had wet clutches yet it is a ...

CAV Injector Rebuild

Gentlemen, I have a CAV injector pump on my European made 450 loader. The model number is 3442770 and the serial number is 068627IO. Does anyone know an injector service shop where I can get this pump rebuilt or know where I can get a tech manual and parts to rebuild it myself? Thanks much, Clarence

Battery Hook Up

Gentlemen,

Maybe I'm misunderstanding but I think those batteries should be hooked up in a "series"--at least my 450 is setup that way. Positive cable to the positive on battery one; battery one negative to battery two positive and then battery two negative to negative ground.

450 Engine Missing

Gentlemen, My 450 engine is still missing. Fuel and fuel tank are clean. New fuel transfer pump and fuel filter. The only things remaining to repair or replace are the fuel injector pump and injectors. It's hard starting and it starts missing only after it's warm. This missing problem started all at...
