450 engine covers
I am missing the engine covers on my 450B loader and have found a set for a 450 (no vent holes punched in them). I would like to know if they will fit and what they may be worth. Thank you

So I got to work on my engine a little more, stopped at Deere and they said the shims do not belong (although I had to put 1 under the sleeve that I had to replace to bring it up even with the other 3). As for the balancing shafts wehad to go by the service manual pictures (very hard to see the keyw...

450B engine
A couple of questions about the 4219 out of my 450B, before I got it, the engine was rebuilt then left outside. So I had to take it all apart and inspect and rebuild. First the dumb thing, I am not absolutly sure which balancing shaft is left and which is right. Same casting number, but if you look ...

450b rocker arm assembly
I was wondering if the rocker arm assembly from a 4239t will work in a 4219 in a 450b. The supports are the same part number but I cannot cross reference the rocker arms, or push rods. Everything appears to line up but I do not have the origional ones to compare them to. Also are the 239 head bolts ...

450b engine
I aquired a 450B that had the engine rebuilt 10 to 15 years ago but not quite finished. It got wet shortly before I got it and 1 sleeve was ruined. Other than that and needing the head and block lightly reground it appears to have suffered no other damage. Now what shape the rest of the machine is i...

450b needs much help
I aquired a JD 450b that was having the engine rebuilt (15 years ago?). The engine was put together except the top of the head and it got wet and damaged 1 sleeve and the tappets. I'm not sure how much water got in the tranny from the cooler lines. I am missing a bunch of parts such as the rocker sh...
