Lavoy. Is a John Deere dealer the best place to get the parts for the reverser? Or can you get parts aftermarket or used? Also I need a pressure plate and clutch disk and I guess I should change the throw out bearing as well for the engine clutch. How much we talking. What is included in your engine...

Ok so I got the engine pulled out and got the pressure plate and clutch disk out. I cleaned up the flywheel. Looks good. Now I am going to tear into see why the reverser is stuck in forward. Where and how much are the parts to convert it to a thru shaft? How hard is it to do? Thanks brad

Thanks guys for the help. I do have service and parts Manuals for it. Just all of this is new to me and I am thinking that it is a big job to do but am willing to get into it. Just waiting for the money to come throw to do the job. Thanks

Lavoy, the serial number is 448076 a late 1958 and i think the part numbers out of the parts book are M2378T is the hub and M1635T for the shaft. do you have the ball bearing and 2 snap rings that go on the shaft as well or do i have to go through JD for that stuff? thanks brad

lavoy thanks sounds good but i also need the gear that goes on the end of the shaft that would drive the faber dics as well as the drive shaft. how much are we looking at for the shaft and gear? thanks
