Ok so I got down and dirty over the weekend. Got the reverser out and torn apart. What I found is that 2 of the 4 pins that hold the small gears in we're sheared off and the other were all chewed up. So looks like 4 new gears and 4 new pins to get the reverser back working. I am going to post some p...

I am going to try to fix it because I can see that it is a big help when working with the machine. But if it cost to much to fix then I may have to reconsider. I will jus...

Lavoy. Is a John Deere dealer the best place to get the parts for the reverser? Or can you get parts aftermarket or used? Also I need a pressure plate and clutch disk and I guess I should change the throw out bearing as well for the engine clutch. How much we talking. What is included in your engine...

Ok so I got the engine pulled out and got the pressure plate and clutch disk out. I cleaned up the flywheel. Looks good. Now I am going to tear into see why the reverser is stuck in forward. Where and how much are the parts to convert it to a thru shaft? How hard is it to do? Thanks brad

Yes when I bought it a few years ago from a friend of mine. He said that he had to run it in to something hard to brake it loose. We used the reverser to load it. And that is why mabe the reverser does not work now. It is stuck in the forward position, lever will move to reverse but the crawler just...

I have a 1959 440ic and the foot clutch does not work at all. I can see the throw out bearing pushing the fingers on the clutch plate but it is not disengaging. Thinking that the clutch disk is stuck? Can the be possible? Is there a way to adjust the clutch or something? There is not that much free ...
