Freely turning nuts. The engine was running, the nuts were loosened and the two (connected) wires were showing sparks on the terminal studs.

I have a 440 ICD. Had to buy a rebuilt generator for it thru the local JD dealer. They told me they'd polarized the generator. I mounted it on the crawler today and connected the white wire to the "F" terminal and the black wire to the "A" terminal. The ammeter showed it wasn't charging. I then loos...

Would an hour meter for a 440 ICD be available, Lavoy? Mine is all smashed and painted over.

I just got a JD 440 but I don't yet have an owner's manual. The former owner showed me where to add gear oil, hydraulic fluid, fuel but did not mention reverser fluid.

Where do I add reverser fluid?
