Did you first check to see if you have the separate hydraulic assist line before adjusting steering clutches? I did that only to find it half full of sludge and the other half empty. i cleaned it out and refilled and mine is running much better without having to get into the steering clutches. THey...

I have a 350C and currently stuck back inthe woods with only right side drive. I had problem with fluid like you describe. Check the two hard lines that go to the reverser oil cooler (under radiator). The two lines start on the side of the reverser (underneath your left foot.) I had one line that tr...

Transmission & reverser levels are OK. I checked the steering valve, and it appears ok. Any way to look at the piston function without pulling it apart? I currently don't have pressure gages and the machine is stuck back in the woods?

thanks on the oil lines answer. The reverser is working ok I think. At this point I have nothing being transfered to left side (independant brake or power)

Went back this afternoon, fluids are good, brake linkages all look normal. What I have found is the machine only has power on right side. I have no braking or power on left side. When I pull the right steering lever, the left track vibrates and tightens up like it wants to go, but that is all it doe...

thanks on the link. It may have been repaired with hose at one time, and they used a spline to make it easy to fix. I may replace that one section with hard line. Both lines to the oil cooler switch to hose just before the cooler. I haven't been out back yet to look further on the machine yet. I don'...

350C LGP steering issue

Hi, I am apparently going thru a cleaning out the weakest links on my machine. So far I run it for a few hours and blow a hose, or find a loose hose clamp , etc. This last event, I had a hose come apart that goes to the oil cooler (reverser oil) underneath the radiator. Question: my service manual d...

That was the entire problem with the drive, brought ilevel back up, and had full power, no warm up. The comedy continued, after 20 mins of cleaning up an old logging road, I felt the side my pant leg getting warm. Looked down, and a stream of hot hydraulic fuild coming up at my leg from one of the h...

Assuming I have this right (I have a service manual on order), to the right of the consol and located on transmission, there is a post with a screw top, and dipstick attached. (going by the location shown on decal underneath battery cover) OIl level is below the lower of two marks on the dipstick. D...

350C LGP Drive issue?

Hi, I have a 350C LGP with full cab, and is my first dozer. In good shape, less than 1600 hours. Engine purrs, and starts on a dime. Ran fine for a few days, then the return spring for the main clutch pedal broke. I had a leak in one of the hoses (didn't know at the time), and filled up hydraulic fl...
