Re: Implements for 420C

Thanks for the information! I don't know anything about plows but what is the difference in the offset between a 2 bottom from 3 bottom? Also, how could I identify an 810 plow? When I googled it there were images for 2,3,4, and more bottom plows that came up. Steve, could you send me some pictures o...

Implements for 420C

I was at a tractor show the other day with my 420C and visiting with another gentleman with a 420C about what implements were originally used with the crawlers. Is there a list somewhere of implements that were originally used with them? I would like to get an implement to go with my crawler for som...

Lavoy, please let me know if you have the drive also and how much for both of them. What do your new tachs look like? The one I have actually says 420c on the face of it. Thanks!

420C tach

I just found a tach for my 420C. All that I have is the gauge though. What else do I need to make it work? I don't have a parts book handy to look it up. Also, does anyone know where I could possibly get the tach rebuilt? Thanks for all the help.

Do you happen to have a set of good fenders off of it or a 4 spool valve?

I'm nt sure what you are trying to weld on the tank but I have had good luck with fiberglass patch kits for larger holes and tank sealer for the smaller holes. If you still want to weld on the tank give us a little more detail and we will see what we can do to help.

Thank all of y'all for the information. The dimensions of the blade and the specs for the loader are very helpful. I will probably get the blade that I have been told about sometime after Christmas when everything settles down. I hope everyone has a wonderful and blessed Christmas and a Happy New Ye...

It's looking good so far. As they say, you can't rush a good thing. I just got my generator reworked and looking for a kit for the water pump. Slow but steady. Keep us informed on the progress. Good luck!!

That is impressive!! I have the manuals for the 440 but have not gotten a set for the 831 loader. I guess if I got them they would tell me all that information. Do they say anything about the dozer blade that you could put on the loader frame? I have heard of them but never seen them before.

Does anyone know where I could get 2 new extra master pins for my tracks? When the one link was taken out of my set of tracks the ends of the master pin were smashed badly. I'm not even sure if it is the master pin but there is one pin on each side that looks different from all the others and there ...

Thanks for the help. I was able to pull the pins on the lifting arms and the upright to get the loader off. For some reason I was thinking that I needed to take the whole thing off. I'm glad that I did not have to though. By any chance does anyone know how big of a bucket the 831 loader has? I've he...

Removing an 831 loader

I'm about to start working on my 440 ICD that I just got and need to take the 831 loader off to get to everything. Does anyone have any tips or ideas on the easiest way to take one off? Any tools that would help? The crawler is sitting at a friends house outside and we have a couple engine hoists an...

It sounds like a good deal to me. I have a friend who bought a 420 for parts and payed around $800 for it. Other than that Lavoy carries a lot of parts for them and what he does not have I'm sure someone on here might have some spare parts. It just depends on what you are wanting to do with it and h...
