Re: 440ic Frozen Engine

I would pull the head off put some gas and transmission fluid mix in both pistons put a rag in it for a wick light it let it burn out then put a block down in it and hit it with a sledge

Make sure none of the pins in the linkage didn’t break on the reverser before you tear it apart

Re: 1959 440 ICD - How to get it running?

Since it has been sitting outside take breather cap off and have a board ready to cover the breather pipe just in case the engine wants to run away

Re: 420C loader track

They could be 350 tracks but all you would need to do is change sprockets which would be a good thing to do anyway

Re: 440 Track Frame repair

After both track frames were ready to install, removal of the old ones began. The previous owner had all the crossbar flanges welded to the track frames... https://i.imgbox.com/Ztsu0s2J https://i.imgbox.com/b60V8Zvw One done https://i.imgbox.com/14nxvxeh I had a hard time trying to install the bolt...

The main clutch will be "thin" if it is slipping. In other words, the slightest pressure past free travel will increase the slip. You need to pull the engine, regardless.
Make sure it isn't your steering clutches
