A lot more bracketry than I thought!I didn't realize it attached to the front trunnion bar also.It IS possible to fab up but would take some time and steel to do it right.For now I'll just keep looking.Theres one somewhere!

2010?
Ran across a mount for a 2010. Any body know if it would fit a 1010?I don't think i've ever seen a 2010.

Back hoe mount
Hi,ran across a backhoe for a 1010 crawler for sale.Mine doesnt have the mount system for it .Does anybody have one they would part with?Haven't seen the hoe yet ,are there good models and bad models to stay away from?How hard would it be to plumb my crawler?

1010 winch
I've got a winch for my 1010 , it's the smae one as in my shop manual.Who made these?Was amazed how heavy that thing really is!And what about parts availabity?Dozer not done yet but motor at shop getting hot tanked and crank turned.

I hadn't thought about the tracks freezing to the ground, boards are a good idea in the winter. Just got thinking the other day(no it didn't hurt :)I was working on my old Dodge army truck and got to noticing that everything is vented to the intake after the filter and before the carb.What if we did this on our crawlers to the steering clutch housings??Would this help pull out execess moisture...

track breaker
The tool I made consists of a 3/8 plate with 2 hooks that hook over the side of the pad with a guide bushing to hold a drive punch inline with the track pin.Nobody needed to hold the punch,I secure it on the backside of the pad with a big c-clamp.I've used this on my 955 cat with no problems,so I kn...

Rust in tank
Just something I did on my 1010 years ago.When I started having rust trouble in the tank,and no time to clean it properly,I stuck a big speaker magenet on the bottom of the tank to help hold some of the rust.Just put it away from the pick ups.Russ

I too have my dads 1010.Thats really a neat old picture,never saw a canopy like it.We are a sentimental group holding on to our old machines and memories. Like I've been told,If I have to explain you would'nt understand anyway. Good luck and keep us posted.Russ
