455D Crawler Loader - for Repair Or Parts
I have a 1984 (I think) 455D crawler loader with backhoe for sale. Very good undercarriage, appears to be all Berco replacement, at 75% or better, ran when parked but has been sitting some time under cover. Needs work on the HLR shuttle, slips when warm. Has ROPS and all sheetmetal, sheetmetal is in...

Complete 2-53 Detroit motor (had some interest but no firm takers yet) Sheet metal Basically a complete machine minus the u...

Sprocket Adapters
So, now that we have gathered up all the parts to replace the undercarriage on my Dad's old 420C, I have had a different thought about how to install the 350 sprockets. Normally this would involve putting a new rim on the 420, but that just sounds way too easy, and being one to never take the easy p...

Hi, what model is the backhoe you have, is it the type with swing cylinders or rotary cylinder, and where are you located?
Thanks,

440 ICD Parts
I recently picked up a 440 with a 2-53 Detroit diesel that I am taking the undercarriage from to put on my 420 and do not need the rest. The engine runs, machine is basically complete and has decent tin, but the transmission is broken in half. It is a crawler loader with the model 831 loader. Let me...

Thanks Mark. I took a look at the 40 parts book too, it looks like it was a replacement number? Is it possible that it would have been factory installed on a 440 4 roller? I am just going by the fact that the number is close to the right idler for the 5 roller and the larger 440 idler is also listed...

Idler Question
Hi, can anyone tell me what JD part number M2768T idler would fit? I just bought a set that was supposed to be for a 440, but it measures 17 3/4" where the chains run. I understand the 440 idlers are supposed to be 19 1/4". Second question, is anyone looking for a good set of the above? They are she...

Weld on Sprocket Rims
Does anyone know if weld on sprocket rims for a 350 are still available? I am working on a 420C that is getting a track upgrade, so far the few places I talked to told me their suppliers are not selling them any more. I also am going to end up with some 2 bolt 12" 2 bar street pads left over from th...
