I don't remember exactly how it worked, but I think the loader on one side of the country were called ATECO, and on the other side they had the Greenville Steel Car Company name on them. All of the literature I have lists only the ATECO name as far as I remember.

There were almost too many loaders to count, Lord, Henry, Davis, ATECO, Greenville Steel Car Company, Wagner, and a host more that I have forgotten.

The #24 scarifier was a 3PT scarifier that was used on the crawlers. It is shown in the manual for the #64 blade on a 440.

Bryce,
Need to look at it first, but my guess is it will die. Need to find time to go out there, will take a day and a half pretty much.

Yes, I talked to him a couple of days ago. Sounds like it was his grandpa's or something like that.
It is probably a 14 hour round trip from here, not including fuel, food and loading times, so a pretty good haul.

Bill,
The gussets on the bottom are original, same as a 62 blade.

I should have a carb kit on hand.
Check your battery cable size, it should be at least #1 if not 1/0. Check your ground strap as well. It could be high amp draw on the starter, but usually the cables are at fault.

No small trannys had dipsticks, all big trannys had dipsticks. Double check your serial numbers, big trannies started at 448,001 as did the diesels.

T11396 is the late case, (big) and will not interchange with the M4256T.

You might have to pull the LH footrest to find the number. Reverser has no effect on the trans.

If the number on your case is the same as that one, it should be the same. Just because it is a 5 speed means nothing, there are two different 5 speeds, and two different 4 speeds. I commonly refer to them as "big" or "little" transmissions. All diesels, and gas crawlers built after the diesels came...

Bill, We have joked on here many times that when we hit a certain number of registered users, that particular user had to host a party, like the 500th, 600th or whatever. Obviously that was a joke, but a meeting would still be fun. One possibility would be to meet at one of the shows, like the Two C...

The winch should work, rollers will work, engine will work if you torch a hole in the hood to put oil in, otherwise it will not. Plus, if you have a late 440, there will be a HP difference.

The low vis Hygard will make it squeal worse, it is enough thinner. It won't hurt anything, but you will lose some more pressure. Deere does not make a straight hyd oil anymore that I know of. It is not hard to find though, any Farm and Fleet or TSC type store will have it on the shelf. I think the ...

You must run the Hygard or equivalent in the 2510 and 4020. If you run it in the crawler you will lose a little pressure compared to a straight hyd oil, but won't hurt anything.
Not sure on the 544 though, I do not know what C2 is.
