pto driven winch is what you want. you can adapt mounting for just about any winch, they're are plenty of them out there once you start looking. several here in my area, but shipping will eliminate those. i was going to do this, but in my searching, i actually found a gearmatic 8a on a junked crawle...

boy i can related to this, recently had a axle bearing to replace, son went to store and came back with an imported, "universal fit" bearing, :?: :roll: it lasted 1.5 miles. :evil: :evil: so he got another one, it lasted 2 miles. :evil: :evil: so i said, what gives? why cant you buy the OEM bearing!...

roller flanges probably could be cut to a smaller diameter if they are smashing into the rail pin bosses.
might consider building up the inner roller dia. instead.
and yes the cylinder wont get pulled apart if the travel is limited, depends on how it is used. adds protection also.

anybody put a model 93 hoe onto a 440icd
has anyone seen a model 93 hoe attached to a 440? maybe too big? too heavy? considering doing this but the "breakage taboo" that i think i read on here has me thinking "no".

hey Racejason, that would work on sidehills as well, keeping the nose going uphill ,,,, might have to build one like that.
