i think a sticking valve would appear right away, not after running for 20 minutes.
what about condensation under the dist. cap.?

well maybe my 440 has the same layout, allthou i dont have a hoe for it, it did have a hoe on it and whoever took it off left all the rest on.
i will take some pix of it this weekend and send them to you if you give me a cell#

hi A-man, i have used the devcon steel putty and it is a very good product, but it is not going to hold up (fix) your problem.

local shop here has told me that they can change my injectors for about $150 each. :shock: from S series to N series is what I think he said, I dont know whats involved in that but will find out the details soon enough. and on another related subject; I read there are 2 different cylinder sleeves, t...

i had figured on welding bars to the existing cleat, using 3/8 x 1" steel and just weld them on . i didnt want to go too extreme but thats up to you, i can picture a river bottom where 3" tall cleats would either get you thru it, or get you in so deep you need help. pto driven winch is what you want. you can adapt mounting for just about any winch, they're are plenty of them out there once you start looking. several here in my area, but shipping will eliminate those. i was going to do this, but in my searching, i actually found a gearmatic 8a on a junked crawle...

boy i can related to this, recently had a axle bearing to replace, son went to store and came back with an imported, "universal fit" bearing, :?: :roll: it lasted 1.5 miles. :evil: :evil: so he got another one, it lasted 2 miles. :evil: :evil: so i said, what gives? why cant you buy the OEM bearing!...
