Specs

John Deere has the complete specs on their website.

Check out http://www.deere.com/wps/dcom/en_US/pro ... ozers.page?

Engine a 4239 natural putting out 63 horse.

Would love to have one of these in a widepad or even a 24" pad long track.

Angle dozer

This is a replacement for the loader bucket. They are out on the jobsite right now. I only help my Dad out on the weekends.

I will take some pics one of these days.

Glow Plugs

Are you using the glow plugs? Make sure they are functional and connected. Should be activated by turning the key switch backwards for 30 seconds or so and then proceed to start. The 1010 and 2010 diesel engine in my opinion are very poor even at their best. I spent alot of money on my 2010 engine, ...

Here is a better option

How about building an angle blade attachement that attaches to the loader in place of a bucket? All of the deere loader came with an extra valve to run the angling cylinders. We have two of these set ups on our widepad 350C loader hoes. You use the bucket tilt function to tilt the dozer assembly and...

Go with diesel

We put about 5 litres of diesel in each clutch cavity and then anchor the machine to something that won't move. Run the machine with the steering clutch levers pulled back for a few minutes. Drain and see what happens. Our sucess rate is about 50%. Works when the disks are slipping from sitting (rus...

Get Her Drained First

There will be some plugs on the botton of the clutch cavities. Should be a 3/4" or 1" NPT plug and takes a 3/8 or 1/2 square drive to remove it (just need a rachet) You will need to determine what type of fluid if any that is in the cavity. If it is just dirty water then you might not need to do a f...

Lindeman Condition

It had as new undercarriage and a factory dozer, nice paint job.

It was missing the lindeman casting that goes on top of the track frames and was missing the fenders.

I think it was a good buy and if we didn't have a few already would have went higher.

Cheap crawlers

Yes, there can be cheap good deals out there but they are few and far between. I watch KIJIJ like a hawk and it is not very often that I miss out on something that I would buy. Last good buy was last fall, paid $2,700 for a 350B with an outside mount dozer, canopy and winch, but had a small engine f...

I have both

I am located in Alberta, 1 hour west of Edmonton so not that far away. What are you looking to spend? The winch was removed from a burnt crawler (engine fire) but i will mount it an a runner to demo. Arch came off a 450 that we wrecked. I will have to check to make sure it fits a 350 by measuring th...

Need some backup

We always remove the track pads before and after the masterlink and then you need to think about how to backup the rails before getting out the sledge hammer. Two options that we use. 1. Have someone hold a larger (5 foot) crow bar and back up the rail. Place the tip of the bar as close to the maste...

Start With the Injectors

I would remove the injectors and use a lubricant such as Fluid Film or even diesel fuel. I would then let it sit for a few days before making an attempt to break it loose, with a bar in the starter hole or with a socket on the crank shaft. The line plate is getting to be a very hard to find item so ...

Selling Prices

Well, the Lindeman sold for $15,500. I ran it up to $15K, and would have went for about $10 as the only other serious bidder was an internet buyer. I was also the runner up on the 3 other crawlers. There was 60+ tractors there from restored to running to parts. I thought everything sold on the cheap...

Still looks like a good deal to me

If this find old deere was within two hours of Edmonton Alberta I would have already snapped it up. I would have to verify that it does run and move first. The steering cluches on a 450B are fairly easy to work on and the undercarriage looks good enough for occassional farm or accreage use. Plus, wh...

Working on Widepads

We run 24" pads on our 450C wide pad instead of the 33" pads as we don't need the flotation plus it is much easier to work on. On our two loader 350C widepads, we have to cut the 33" pads to about 30" as the loader assembly is wider that the dozer. They are difficult to work on with the widepad set ...
