Hey digitup; The work address will work just fine. I did have a two man operation going for awhile we made a little head way but not much. Yeah the tractor did nothing. I had a bigger 70 horse but figured it wasn't moving and the 70 horse didn't weigh much more than the 45 horse deere/backhoe combin...

yeah tried to push/pull her out with the hoe. I lost hydraulic power because of the angle. Added some hydraulic fluid but never really got full power for some reason. I will check the fluids to make sure thanks for pointing that out. Everything was working once it got level. but need to check the fl...

anybody want to sell a winch?

I have been taking out some jack pines to put new ones in. Thought I filled in the other stump holes fairly well. Was going to back over this area to get to the next tree. All the rain and maybe a spring in one of the stump holes and the right skid sank down at what felt like a 45 degree angle. The ...

one good 1000 amp battery should turn her over and get her started on a moderately warm day. I had two old low 1000 CCA batteries and the little jump starter thng didn't do much. Then hooked it up to a roll up jump starter and that didn't do as much as one would hope. Although eventually it charged ...

Hopefully it won't end up upside down but if it does I will be sure to dip those suckers first. Actually, that stuff comes in spray cans so I might try and spray them. I bought some heat shrink just a little bit small. So I am still plotting. I haven't looked hard at taking the controls off. It does...

crawlers on concrete and ashphalt

I pulled my 450C crawler backhoe into my pole barn for storage and I already cracked some corners on my concrete and chewed up the ashphalt where I transitioned from turf to ashphalt. The ashphalt and concrete are both good quality at least 4" thick so I thought I would be ok. I think I might get so...

Thanks digit up. Heat shrink might work. Was also thinking about that plastic dip stuff for tool handles. Ideally I would like some of that nice soft foam. Although that may not last as long. I hear what you say about the parts guy. That is why I buy deere's they really support you on the parts. The...

my redone 450 C trackhoe

So I sold my 450 C trackhoe project to an enterprising guy who put a lot of work into her and now I bought her back. Here are pictures of the new machine http://i1093.photobucket.com/albums/i429/philztoy/450%20C%20trackhoe/jd450cbackhoe313.jpg http://i1093.photobucket.com/albums/i429/philztoy/450%20...

Thanks for the tips I found an interstate battery dealer not too far away. :)

I may look into my alternator to make sure she is charging.

Thanks for your help.

rubber for steering control hand grips

The steering control handgirps are worn off of my 450C. I have looked through the partns manual and cannot find a part number for them. Does anyone know where to get replacements? alternatively is there a coating to apply or a tape that accomplishes teh same thing. They still work just look a little...

Just for reference. This happened to me. twice mice have chewed through the wire at the ignition switch which must be a good place to make a nest. So check that if it happens again.
