Dozer 450c operating question

When I get into hard dirt with my 450c it seems to pull the blade down and make a big divot then it is like a ripple effect your tracks get in the divot and it makes another divot very hard to correct. Just wondering if these dozers should have a weight on the back mine has nothing and it feels kind...

The trans filter screen is on the right side if you are sitting on the dozer. It has a round cover with three bolts holding it in. If you get down and look between the tracks right across from the big track spring it is on the side of the transmission. I just finished painting and restoring a 450c I...

Put a pressure gauge on the transmission and this is what its doing. When it is cold the dozer shifts good in forward and reverse. The pressures are running about 155psi in neutral at about 1800 rpms. After it runs a while shifting into reverse gets sluggish. It takes it a while to shift into revers...

450c shifting

My 450c powershifter shifts a little hard and when you put it in reverse it sometimes takes a little while for it to go. I does fine in forward gears but sometimes I put it in reverse and it sits there for random amount of time. Just wondering if anybody had this problem before. I have heard you can...

If not can I just get a sender and guage kit from the auto parts store and use it. Im not quite sure what temps these transmission are suppo...

One hole just had a pin and the other hole had a bushing in it. But both the holes are wore out. Could you weld the hole up solid and then bore it back out to the right size. What would I bore these holes out with could it be done myself or would I have to get John deere to do it.
