I pulled around 6,000lbs on a stone boat with a 430 crawler with no blade once. Could have pulled more but broke loose where the wheel tractors were. If it was compacted I think I could have done better.

I did pull on the steering leavers and they were pretty stiff, had to push them forward, wouldn't go back on their own.
I put in a plug for you Lavoy and told him about this sight his name is BJ hopefully he will join?

I've seen a couple pictures of 430s with the hard nose but not a 420.
FYI, there is no standard grill under it just the hood with the air intake relocated to the center of it.

Hears the kicker, this guy just won it in a estate auction for $600!!!!
Doesn't want to sell, wants to play with it. Been sitting in a shed of the original owner since 1986 it runs but pops through the carb a little hasn't tried to move it yet.

At least you will save some were on your chain saw chain by carrying the logs out. Dragging them drives a lot of dirt into the bark.

There are two hoses going from the control valve to the front one goes to the pump and the larger hose goes to to the hydraulic tank.
Depending on how clever you are with wrenches you may be able to just remove the grill.

It's hard to put a value on it with out seeing it in person. The 1000 tool carrier will add value to a collector. I paid $4000 for my MC last year with a 61 blade, belt pulley and a fair undercarriage it ran but needed a head gasket. I felt like I may have paid a little more than I should but there ...

Be sure to get the track as loose as possible, I've seen the master pins with grooves worn in them and some times hang up on the link or bushing as you drive them out.
