Lol about the wrench deal i did drop a wrench in the housing... I will try the adjusting process again i might of got something off i was starting to get a bit hot

Does anyone know where to get some new guages for my straight 450? Can i use the generic ones they sell at Mother Deere or an auto parts store? Thanks JJ

The engine is locked up because of water getting down the exhuast pipe, the muffler was packed full of rust, fibers, etc from mice best i can tell. Thats interesting, i have a straight 450 that is also stuck in 2nd gear. But it has been sitting awhile... the engine is locked up, throttle control is siezed up, my air filter was rusted out. Sounds like it is linkage.

450 engine removal??

I need to pull the engine in my 450 loader, is it pretty straight forward or complicated? I assume i need to start with the nose piece first??? thanks JJ

alrighty thanks alot for the info. I have a 923 Caterpillar wheel loader turbo i might try to bolt on the deere i know i know its Cat but it was a good deal.....

HI everyone im new to this site and have a few questions. I purchased a 450 loader with a locked up engine, i looked for the serial# under the seat and on the kick panel and no luck, looks to me someone cut it off... anyways the engine serial numbers say its a repower 4239df, Mother deere cant tell ...
