350C reverser

What would cause the reverser to be stuck in forward. Depressing the clutch pedal has no effect. This causes the pressure at the shifting port to go to zero but the machine still wants to go forward. It goes forward in neutral and it stalls the engine when you put it in reverse, like both directions...

Thanks !! I did not look close at the graph and did not see the decimal point. I could not figure out why the shift should take 10 to 15 seconds. 1.0 to 1.5 seconds makes sense. Thank you all very much. You all have been a great help!!

350 Reverser Adjustment

I had the reverser out and put in new clutches and bearings. It is back in now and seems to work fine. I am trying to adjust the rate of shift valve. I can adjust it in so the shift take about 5 seconds to get the pressure back up to 150psi. Any further in and the pressure only comes up to 70 psi an...

Thank you. After talking and showing pictures to an older local engine machinist we concluded the same. I was able to adjust them yesterday and the tractor sounds better now

Thank you

350 C valve adjustment

I have a JD 350 C. I went to adjust the valves and there are NO set screws with lock nuts on the rocker arms above the push rods. There is a nut on the push rod below the rocker arm. Looking down into the hole in the rocker arm above the push rod it looks like a tube is threaded into the rocker arm ...

I had it apart before I saw your post so I did not measure the end play of the shafts. The reverse metal discs are blue, could the reverse clutch be slipping and cause a loud grinding noise? I have replaced both clutch packs in a hope that will solve my problem. By proper shimming do you mean .002to...

350reverser howling in reverse

cantbeatadeeere said his reverser howled in reverse and he solve the problem by properly shimming the reverser. I lost a bearing in my 350C reverser. I took it apart and put new bearings and seals in and shimmed the shafts according the manual with .002to.004 inches of end play. It howled very loud ...

Thanks, I think the brake band is ok. I seem to have a pressure problem. I get only about 300psi at the check port. I can not find any leeks on the brake side. I screwed the relief valve screw in as far as it will go and no luck. I looked in the service manual and I see something called a ball conne...

JD 350C Winch

I have a 350C with winch problems. Where can I get winch clutch and brake parts other than JD? They are expensive there and they do not seem to have all the partrs I need. Any ideas.

Thanks

350 C Reversor Questions

I rebuilt the reversor because the bearing between the spider and clutch shaft burnt up and seized. I have it back in and here are my questions: !. When you shift from forward to reverse, the reversor gives out a squeal and is noisier than when it is in forward. Is this normal? 2.When I check the cl...

350C transmission

I have a broken tooth on second gear, on the 1stand 2nd gear cluster on the input shaft. The 2nd and reverse gear on the output shaft does not look good. The question is can I get these out without taking the ring assembly out? I already have the finals off and the transmission out. This is pobably ...

I have the engine out because of a reverser problemand was wonder if I should change the isolator springs while I am at it? :?: The isolater seemed to make alot of noise at a idle before the other problem caused me to desassemble it. The isolator seems loss and you can turn it some before it comes t...
