I just timed mine with the light at DC on the flywheel while running.Not sure if thats rightdoes run ok

I was wondering if I can use a timing light on the 420.I think it would work but would like to hear from the experts.Thanks

Not restoring the truck.It is one of 7 that I had.I kept this one because it has an untouched frame and also goo winch and overdrive trans.I have a 42 chevy 11/2 ton that I'm fixing up.I'll use the winch and overdrive in that truck

I drove the truck where it is a few years ago. I have to move it soon so I will get all info and start it to make sure all is well.

I have the GMC engine or should I say the complete truck.1944 CCKW353 The engine will bolt up but it is about 3 inches longer.If you look at the frame you will notice 2 extra holes just ahead of the motor mount.The frames of those trucks will accept any of those engines.So it shouldn't be hard to fi...

How close to original is the first one you mentioned. I do have to have this pulley housing slip over and bolt up. I have 2 broken ears on mine. I could make it work but it will take a lot of welding and machining

Not sure what part of Ct you are from but I have a 420 parts machine located on Long Island if that helps Charles

Lavoy do you think a 420 will be able to handle a fork lift mast?I just got a lift with a bad motor and it would be nice to put it on my other 420C. I don't want to go through the trouble mounting it if it isn't worth it. Thanks
