Thanks for the update. If this works out, I'll probably give this swap a try on my 350. Don't know much about GM Delco stuff but wondering if GM trucks might have a heavier v-belt and so a wider pulley. If there's a local alternator rebuild place, you could give them a call and ask. They're probabl...

I think Lavoy has those little balls for that bleeder unit and you need one if the housing is built for a ball and bleeder screw .Some were and some weren't depends on the age of the yoke .Other wise the bleeder screw will leak down if they were made for balls and don't have them.Digitup. The bleed...

I did not get a chance to work on it today but I did turn the key just for the heck of it and it fired right up. A self healing tractor...that's my kind of machine. I started it and stopped twice and it actually shut off when I turned the key off. Maybe something worked its way through the solenoid?...

The front shroud actually pivots on two pins at the bottom. You need to remove 3 bolts down low on each side (5/8 or 3/4 if I remember correctly) and then 4 or 5 bolts underneath that connect to the belly pan. With those out it will pivot forward out of your way and stay there safely. I did this whe...

The neutral switch in not connected. The previous owner had jury-rigged the ignition and removed the wires going to the switch. When I made the repair I by passed it. I did not get more info last night because I ran out of daylight but I am going to get into this morning. I just started ripping the ...

350 stopped and now won't start
I had the 350 up to temp today after doing the hydraulic filter, reverser filter and changing the transmission fluid and washing the tranny out with diesel. I shut the machine down to finish up but when I went to start it up to move it would not start. It's diesel and has always started right up and...

Yep, just looked up the 350D reverser on the Deere Parts site. Reverser filter looks like the same arrangement as earlier 350's. Right on the bottom, mounted horizontally and accessible via a cover on the right side. Ken have to laugh a little at your post, ...accessible via a cover on the right si...

Cylinder Re-build Cost
Does anyone have any feed back about the labor portion of the cost of re-building a cylinder? The neighbor said he would pay me to do one for him but I do not want to over charge him...it would also be a shame to drastically undercharge him.

Well I thought I was in the clear with the track noise. This past Wednesday we had 24+" of snow which I pushed all over the place for 6 hours with no noise at all. Now today I put the 93A back on and the noise is back. I think the weight of the attachment combined with some age on the sprockets is c...
