Jason, yes, it looks real nice and well done. Thanks to where the fuel tank is makes the seat configuration at best difficult. The 93 Case hoe I'm looking at uses foot pedals to swing the boom so I'll need to have the seat oriented nearly perfect. Thanks for posting the pics! :D

Backhoe fitment

Thanks for the responses guys. I agree with Richard, a couple pics would be helpful. Jason, do you think a 93 hoe is a good match for a 450C loader? I'm pretty confident I can handle the welding with the ol' IdealArc Lincoln. Are you trying to sell off a couple of your retro-fitted hoes? If so PM me...

450C backhoe fitment

Hello fellas, It's been some time since I posted here. All's well here. I have an opportunity to pick up a Case model 33 backhoe pretty reasonably, based on prices I've seen on E-Pay it's a steal. I'm considering installing it on my loader. It has a similar looking mounting system as Deere uses on a...

limb risers

I really don't know what they go for. Can you post some pictures? I might be interested if reasonable and not too far away. Send me a PM if you prefer.

450C quit moving

Hello NJDC fan, It could be a number of things but it sounds like it just might be very low on transmission oil. I think I'd start by checking that if you haven't already. Does it make any strange noises or anything odd happen before it stopped? There are people here with a great deal of experiance ...

JD 450 PTO / 3-point

Hey John, Thanks for your input. I was wondering some of the same things, why not make these things as versitile as possible? You certainly have. I'm just getting started on my three point, it's basically a standard ag style and honestly I'm not happy with it. It's just not strong enough to be behin...

Ice bolts/tracks

Hey Ken, I'm to the point where I'll need to replace the chains and pads on my 450C loader soon. The chain links are showing some irregular wear, not round any more. The track adjusters are about to the end of their reach. Did you need to replace your drive sprockets or front idlers as well? My spro...

Aux drive/pto

Thanks Stan for the diverse response. I really appreciate your in depth thought and backround into the subject. I agree with you that most crawlers are task specific. I see nothing wrong however with trying to make these little beasts more diverse. In my case I felt the use of a box blade on the bac...

Aux drive/pto

Very helpful! I had previously found one or two of the site links Tigerhaze posted, one of them is what I was referring to where Digitup2 talked about the speed of the aux drive shaft. One fella mentioned that a pto was an option for the 450, which the spec sheet refers to as a 1000 rpm pto, and he ...

Bolt tracks! Nice!

Hey Ken,

I like the bolts through the track idea, welding some grip on the heads of the bolts - also a good idea. I like it - simple yet effective. You grouser pads appear to be in great shape, did you replace them recently?

Aux Drive/PTO

Interesting - I looked up the 450C loader, which lists a 1000 rpm pto AND a winch drive as "special equipment". I would suppose that a pto would be something one could engage or disengage and an auxillary drive would run continuosly, when the engine is running so is the drive. Most farm tractors hav...

3-point hitch for 450C Loader

Hello all - I've been a member of this site for a little while now and I'm still impressed with some of the outrageous stuff you guys come up with, really pretty cool!! I especially liked Lavoys trencher vidio. Earlier this year I was inquiring about a 3 point hook up for a 450 loader, interestingly...

Power beyond

Hi Shawn,

There's been plenty of discussion on this site about hooking up back hoes. You could try a search and find out plenty! Here's an older discussion you might find helpful.

Farmall B

Hello - There should be a ID plate under the seat on the left seat bracket on the inside, facing the toward the right. Here's a great Farmall (and others) tracktor link. http://www.tractordata.com/farm-tractors/000/2/8/286-farmall-b.html I'm looking for a super C with a wide front end - if anyone kn...

3 point hitch setup for 450C

Hey everyone. I am looking for suggestions and ideas for a basic 3 point hitch setup for the back of my 450C crawler/loader. It has the mounting plate for a backhoe in place as well as a PTO shaft. My idea is to build a cat 1 or 2 system that simply bolts onto the backhoe plate and use the extra por...
