Haha, I completely agree with you 2006. I want it done so bad, but then I say the same thing, "It'll be so much nicer if the extra time is taken and its done right." My grandpa said he had it re-pinned and bushed before he quit running it, that's partly why they're so stiff. I'm going to get some di...

Well it was somewhat fair weather for me this weekend so I decided to get some yellow paint on things before the weather gets bad for the winter. Also, I got the undercarriage to my place to start working on it. I got the tracks off, but had to burn the master pins out. Their not very flexible at th...

Thanks for the pointer on the hydraulic pump pop pop. Their prices look very reasonable, now I just need to find out the stats from the old pump and find one that will be equivalent.
As for the valve cover cap, pm me and pice.
Thanks again

Hey Pop Pop, There's not a ton of parts, but the ones I need are somewhat odd-balls. If you want I can send you the list. I'll try to PM it to you, but it seems the last two PMs I sent only went to my outbox, they never got into my sent box so I don't think they actually got sent. Might have to talk...

Thanks mini,
Hopefully I don't have to burn out, but it might come to that. The tracks haven't moved in 20+ years so...
I've been soaking the link with PB Blaster, might give it another shot today.

440ICD Master Link Pin

Hey guys, I started in on the undercarriage part of my project. I attempted to split the tracks today but didn't have much luck. The problem is I don't exactly know what the master link pin looks like. I searched on here and got a few mixed reports. My manual says the pin should have a snap ring on ...

If your talking about the sliders and Willyr has a set I would jump on them. Mine were shot and couldn't find anyone with them.
I ended up fabbing some up and they work quite nicely. There actually wasn't much modification.
Good Luck

Thanks mini,
Yes we've got to keep them alive or else they'll be gone forever. Plus its too expensive to buy a newer one haha.

Thanks for the comments guys. I have a little help. My dad is a good fabricator so if something needs welding or what not I go to him. It's fun and def. Time consuming. People don't realize the little things that you have to do like polishing gears and tapping holes. They think its sand blast and pa...

440ICD Rebuild

Well guys, I've been working on the 440 for a little over a year now and figure its about time to put some pictures up. Its come a long way, considering last April I was digging through old hay in the barn in search of parts. About 25 years ago the transmission case cracked in two when my grandpa wa...

These pics are great. It seems there aren't too many 440ICD's let alone ones with pictures this detailed.
Its helping me a lot with my rebuild.
Keep them coming and good luck with the rebuild

I don't want to hijack the thread but, are there any rails that will interchange on a 440. I was comparing my 440 tracks with the ones on my 1010 and the 440's are worn pretty badly.
