I purchased a 1958 loader backhoe and had it at a house I am renovating. Some @#$&@@ vandalized the heck out of it. Cut every wire and hose including throttle cables and fuel line. I have a JD 440 loader backhoe. I am looking for someone to rebuild the engine/ new clutches etc. Anyone no someone other than the Deere dealer? I am near Manassas VA.

Fortunately I have the 420 manual as i have a 420 tractor. The carberator is a little different and I really haven't looked at much else. I'll have to find the service manual Lavoy mentions as I know nothing about this thing. Lavoy, any word on Track guides? Thanks Steve PS I really appreciate this ...

Which manual do I want in order to service my new to me loader? I have not seen a service manual listed on ebay, just parts. Is the 440 motor the same as the one on a deer tractor?
