Also, if you are not sure of the condition of your cable put a test light on the battery terminal and the starter terminal and crank the engine. If your cable is going bad for whatever reason the test light will glow or light up. Often it can be just a bad terminal on either end but it is easy enoug...

They are not too hard to rebuild yourself if you are at all mechanically inclined, the rebuild kit is only about $30 and the only special tool you need is a torx T45 (I think, close to it anyway). If you search around on the web you can find a copy of the manual which basically goes through it step ...

Thanks for the responses guys! I don't mind putting the hours on the machine, I have only been putting about 10 hours a year on it for the past couple of years, it had an overhaul about 200 hours ago so I need to use it a bit more lest I be accused of neglect. I did some casual looking around in the...

Hooking up a wood splitter to a 350C

Hi all, I'm trading some junk I have laying around for a 3 pt hitch wood splitter. I haven't seen it yet (picking it up this afternoon) but I would like to power it with my 350C. It has been modified somehow to be a stand alone instead of the 3 point, but I was wondering what might be the options fo...

Well if you are getting fuel and you can hear the solenoid clicking, about the only thing I could suggest before pulling the pump is to unscrew the fuel return line and see if you are getting fuel out of that, as that will verify the pump is pushing fuel into the IP. I agree with Leonard, see about ...

My method is to score it with a hacksaw, just keep going around and cutting deeper on each pass, then when it breaks through just use a large screwdriver and pry the end off. Only takes 3 minutes or so.

I agree about the snakes too, that's about the only benefit to working on equipment in the winter! What I hate is working on the crawler and setting a wrench or whatever on a track then knocking it off to the inside. You can look and see it, and it is grabbable but no way am I sticking my hand down ...

What is the best way to raise that boom? As is all hooked up and a big comalong and put stands under it ? Or do I need to detach the bucket to lighten it up etc? If your engine still turns over you can just crank it while holding the bucket control lever up and it will raise fairly quickly. Sorry t...

My opinion only, but IMHO someone has been reading too many semi-truck websites. :) First, if you give validity to SCA (supplemental coolant additives) a person also has to be aware that abnormal situations can occur so that you need to at least visually inspect the coolant every once in a while. On...

I have no idea, I'm certain someone will eventually say yes or no but in the meantime I have mine parked outside the back door (dragging firewood trees) and for the upper mount on the loader bucket there are the 2 plates the trunnion pins fit into, on mine the inner ones are 26" apart and the outer ...
