Thanks Ken and Tiny, the power beyond sleeve was indeed what I was missing. I wasn't able to purchase a sleeve so I took my power beyond valve into a hydraulics shop and they made it for me without too much trouble. I have now finally got my tractor and backhoe transported to my woodlot and it is wo...

Thanks Matt for looking into this for me. Yes, hopefully someone here has some more information on the auxiliary valve because I'm not sure where to go from here.

Okay, I checked for a plug in the power beyond port and unfortunately there is no plug and no place for a plug to be. It's just a smooth curved opening inside the valve. Also, the hydraulics on the loader work fine so I don't think the spool on the auxiliary valve is out of place.

Thanks Matt and Tiny for your replies. I'm going to check to see if that plug is in the port. I'm assuming (hoping) it is. I did know that the lines had to be connected when not connected to the backhoe. Hopefully I can finally get to using my machine this weekend! Thanks again for your assistance. ...

Thanks for responding Jason. My problem isn't that I have a restricted flow problem beyond the power beyond. The problem is that there is no oil flowing out of the power beyond port. I'm not sure if the power beyond has ever been used on my crawler. Do you know if there is something that has to be d...

450C - power beyond port question

I have been working on attaching a backhoe(9300 model) to my 1975 450C crawler loader. From a number of helpful tips on this forum plus the manual I have been able to plumb the backhoe, however I seem to be overlooking something or I have a faulty power beyond valve because there is very little oil ...

Thanks Matt and Ken for this extremely helpful information. Being completely new to heavy equipment and hydraulics I wasn't aware of the complexities involved. I'm looking forward to learning more as I work with the equipment. Though I'm hoping that it is going to just work for quite some time once ...

Ken, if not too much trouble, a couple of pictures would be great. Yes, my hoe is a 9300 model and I do believe the loader control valve does have "power beyond" capability, at least that is what my welder friend has concluded. I believe I now have all the information needed to have the hoe plumbed ...

Thanks for all the information Ken. My machine has never had a backhoe on it. There are no lines coming off of the crawler like in your picture, but there are lines like it coming off of the backhoe. The person I bought the crawler and backhoe from was given the backhoe and mounting bracket but unfo...

Hi Ken, My 450 is a loader and yes it did come with the hoe mount and I have the hoe now attached to the crawler, just trying to figure out the best way to plumb it. Assuming that my hoe has an open center valve body (please excuse my ignorance but how is this determined?), would I not want to have ...

450 backhoe attachment

Thanks Jason. I plan to go with your second suggestion. It costs less and performs better. Can't beat that combination.

Newbie Attaching backhoe to 450C crawler

Hi everyone, I just recently purchased a 1975 450C crawler and I'm a total newbie around any kind of mechanical equipment. I probably have no business having one of these machines but I thought it would be great fun working on my wood lot roads and possibly preparing a site for a house. I got a 930 ...
