Re: 430C 3 point

Got them out. Only one blackened finger nail in the process. Good thing it wasn't my middle finger, or I wouldn't be able to drive. lol

Thanks Lavoy. Got some of them out. It's amazing how tough rust weld is.

430C 3 point

What is the secret for removing the hollow dowel pins in final drive that the drawbar is attached to. Drawbar won't fit unless they are removed. Have tried heat, soaked in Kroil, pipe wrench etc.

Re: 40c hydraulic control valve

No longer have a 40C to compare it to, but if it is the elbow that goes on the M1302T valve body, I have one.

Re: Any body play around with rubber pads on 420 or other crawlers?

A gentleman in Virginia did a Lindeman and now an MC. Got the pads from an industrial supply in Richmond Va. , counter sunk the rubber, drilled holes in crawler pads and now drives it around the neighborhood. If I can find the post on facebook, I will post the info here.

Re: Here comes another Hurricane

Disagree about Florence's winds, Stan. I'm 20 miles from the coast and lost 3 roofs from buildings and machine sheds. Have just finished the roof on the cow shed, and picked up the last downed pine trees. So am certainly not looking forward to Dorien.

Re: Nice knowing you-all!

Winds picking up here in Jacksonville NC. I'm 24 miles from the beach and it looks like we are bore-sighted. Going to be a lot of high wind from the northeast quadrent for an extended period. 9 foot storm surge (won't get to me) but the projected 3 foot of rain may ruin my day!! Pat

Re: maximum degree of climbing, assent, descent

I remember seeing a video of a BO Lindeman going up a very steep incline. They were demonstrating for the Army , I think, for use in the Pacific to be airdropped, for building Runways. They didn't get the contract, but neat video and looks like they were on a 45 degree angle.

Stan, hurricane mathew was a pain here in coastal NC also. Corn fields were wet from previous rains, so 80 mph winds flattened mine. Just got power back. Some roofs gone on outbuildings. Trees down. To be honest, even though bad hurricanes are infrequent, I'm getting tired of replacing tin, cutting ...

Hey Lavoy, I see your trencher in this months Green Magazine. Page 41. Tried to post it on your Facebook page, but couldn't make it post. Guess the page is smarter than me!
