Well I was thumbing threw the book on the chassis, and decided that I would see if I could get the steering working. Did some adjustments on the clutches and, just like that it turns both ways, effortlessly. Also I fixed the radiator hose that was leaking, just had to remove the nose cone and hydrol...

Dead Cylinder

Well I fixed the dead cylinder problem, even w/o a book. Right about the time I got finished, the mail came and one of the 3 books I ordered arrived, just not the one for the engine. I'm pretty sure it has the upgrade pistons in it, being that I havn't started it in 3 days, and once I was done messi...

Again, I have ordered the manuals. I'm asking questions because they have not arrived yet and the tractor is stuck in my yard and I'm trying to get it into the shop to work on it when the manuals arrive. Now I blead the fuel system, but the rear cylender seems to still be getting air into the line. ...

I"m not talking about the little tubes, I'm talking about what they screw into. What are those?

quick question, what is the torque for the injectors? Under the valve cover, there are 4 steel lines (two for each piston), that screw down onto what I'm assuming are the injectors. Am I incorrect? If so, what is the torque on them? If not, what are they?

Thanks.

Well, I looked at the fuel lines today, no clogs. Thinking maybe injectors because instead of the usual starting and running for a bit, today it started, moved about 5 feet then died and that was it. Question I'm having is, can I do a compression check, if so how? On a side note, I moved part of the...

I think an obstructed line is the most likely cause of your problem.

I see it, didn't before. Hazards of being parcially drunk/hungover when browsing.

Thanks for the warm welcome and all the help. I litterally know nothing about this thing, exept that it's fun to drive. I'll keep you guys posted on progress.

I'm hearing from a couple friends that they think there might be an obstruction in the fuel pickup/return lines. Sound fesable?

It needs the starting fluid to get it going when it's cold. It runs actually quite well, but it will start missing, then bog down and die. From that point if you let it sit for a bit, it will start again and run for a 30-40 min then the cycle repeats. I'm thinking injectors, but I'm not sure. My man...

1960 440 ICD

Just got one, don't really know anything about them but for free I couldn't turn it down. Here are the issues I'm having: No clutch, feels like the pedel isn't connected to anything. Left turning stick doesn't work, I looked in the inspection holes and it moves the clutches but doesn't stop the trac...
